Organic Agriculture
Biocyclers may be considered the “missing link” of organic agriculture. Even quite small farms of 5-10 hectares can achieve improved economic results via significantly increased total yields and reduced costs of heating by introducing use of a Biocycler. At farms where high value crops are grown and where heat for pre-cultivation of seedlings is needed or where heat for drying crops during late summer or fall is needed – well then even better results can be expected.
A Biocycler should be thought of as small fertilizer production plant. By growing and harvesting green manure crops and processing them in a Biocycler the total amount of nitrogen made available for your rotation can be increased enough for a rise in total yields from the rotation by more than 20%. This is because the leaf mass produced through the growth season is all turned into stable fertilizers rather than decomposing again in the soil before the nitrogen in it gets available to the following crop.
All other leftover biomass can be used in the Biocycler too. Thus, when in need of imported nutrients e.g. household waste, trimmings and clippings or animal manure may be processed in the Biocycler during winter and heat for your house can be generated at the same time as you get access to pathogen free compost.
